J.W. Anderson Spring 2011 | London Fashion Week

Continuing on a rebellious streak of discovery, J.W. Anderson debuts his latest collection, The Devoured And I. Juxtaposing offbeat formal wear with the trappings of a classic visit back home, Anderson’s man rebels with an unexpected mix of doilies, bondage straps, sheer fabrics and Swarovski crystals. Presenting a quaint vision that blurs the line between aesthetic goals, ranging from relaxed tailoring and a punk attitude to retro-inspired knits, J.W. Anderson’s spring showing offers the qualities of fashion’s good boy gone bad.
This is my favorite looks:

Fusing a myriad of spring hues with tailored suiting, Simon Spurr debuted his self-titled line on the runway with an all-star cast that brought the collection to life with a certain ease and finesse. Complementing Savil Row influences with attributes of the British cavalry, Spurr also took the chance to debut a line of 60′s inspired accessories that included a private label of hats with Selima.
This is a wonderful collection, I became a fan of Simon Spurr.

Balmain Spring 2011 Menswear Collection Review

Balmain's Spring/Summer 2011 releases a collection full of edginess and urban-grunge influences over fashion this season. Going mostly for a darker area in chromatic styling, Christophe Decarnin puts an accent on a hidden masculine rough side into his designs.

The Balmain fashion house is one of the leading Parisian labels that was founded by fashion designer Pierre Balmain, the person who took his own brand to a high level in this industry. The “king of French fashion” reached success and popularity during the World War II, but after his death the label kept going down. His mark over the Balmain designs were known as being very sophisticated and elegant with lots of luxury and classic designs.

Today, the fashion designer Christophe Decarnin is the one that runs over Balmain since 2005 and he is the responsible for re-taking the brand once again to the top. Going for edgier and more sophisticated designs, Decarnin knows that his personal mark on Balmain is very successful for our new modern times.

If in his women's collections, Christophe Decarnin goes mostly for bold and outstanding designs, choosing silver and gold to maintain glamour and an unique appearance, in his menswear collections he chooses to take things to another chapter. He goes mostly for darker or neutral colors and classic cuts for the designs, by presenting minimalistic pieces that shine out through the attitude and personality that these clothes put in value.

Trussardi 1911 Spring/Summer 2011 - Animalier Limited Edition

The leopard print is a key design inspiration for the Trussardi 1911 Spring/Summer 2011 mens collections. Seen in prominence on clothing (tops and blouses to jackets in everything from cotton and silk to leather) and accessories (such as bags, travel luggages, small leather goods, and footwear), the print is the linking thread for the many desirable and highly wearable looks offered next spring summer.

To pay tribute to this classic and yet versatile jungle style, the leopard print will be launched on a Limited Edition capsule collection, 'Animalier' for men, comprising of jacket, sneakers, belt, overnight bag, and trolley. All these fine spotted pony pieces showcase Trussardi's tradition and leather-working expertise as the fashion house that has been represented by the greyhound, celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2011.

Starting next November, these special items will be sold in Trussardi 1911 boutiques and in fine retailers worldwide such as The Webster in Miami, Barneys in New York, and Restir in Tokyo.

I would love to own that luxurious carryall. Classic but flamboyant in a very refined adventurous way. Like a gentlemen returning from an outpost in the safari.
